Started my career in nursing in 1962 as a nursing assistant, 1975 passed LPN boards, in 1982 passed RN boards and in 2011 passes Bachelor of science in nursing boards. Since then I have had the opportunity to work in a number of different areas taking care of patients with different degrees of illness and I now work in Psychiatry forensics unit which I have found to be both interesting and diversified. Reasons for wanting to obtain a graduate degree is to be able to qualify for positions that I feel capable of handling but cannot without a graduate degree as well as practice on a higher level of autonomy where my patients are concerned. I also realize that there will be challenges to me achieving my goal but have prepared myself to meet them head on, It will be easier to accomplish since all of my children are now grown and the curriculum as it has been explained to me will provicixde me the opportunity to succeed.
