Choose two educators of color who have contributed to the field of early childhood
education. You must give me the name of your chosen educators before you start your
paper.
1. Discuss their contribution in terms of the history, philosophy, and impact of their work in
the field of early education. You can use our subjects from this semester in your
investigation (see below).
2. Share how the two educators’ contributions support early childhood education and care
today (classroom, teaching, environment, play, social emotional, special needs, or early
childhood age group).
3. Who is being impacted the most because of the work: Children, teachers, school districts,
families, students with special needs, NAEYC, DAP, Head Start, childcare centers,
public schools, or policies/standards for the state or federal?
4. How has learning about their contributions impacted your pedagogy as a classroom
teacher. The lasting impression. Elaborate, explain and be specific.
5. Think about and focus on the important concepts of information that you have learned
about each educator of color. Propose your own question and answer. Explain.
