In this paper I wanted to speak about the resurgence of film and why film is still prevalent in this day and age when there’s so much modern digital equipment being used, and why these cinematographers and directors make the choice to use film when creating their films.
I wanted to have the structure of an introduction (500 words), 4 paragraphs to make up the body (around 750 each) then a conclusion of around 500 words to tie everything together and summarise what we learnt and the main reasons why film is still being used. I wanted to use film theory and ‘Google Scholar’ essays to back up my points and tie every paragraph back to my original point of why is film still being used in this day and age.
In the first paragraph I wanted to speak about what film is, how it works, what the process of shooting a movie on film includes. Talk about negative film and when that is used in the process.
In the second paragraph I wanted to include research into Harris Zambarloukos as he chooses to only shoot on film, and show examples of his films and their success. Briefly compare to a cinematographer who shoots on digital and their opinions.
I wanted to include research into the different types of film and why those different types of film would be better for certain situations.
I wanted to talk about the limitations of film compared to digital and the limitations of digital compared to film.
Im not the best at organising structure so i just summarised my main points I knew i wanted to be covered but it doesnt mean this essay has to be limited to those points.
This piece of work needs to include a bibliography too if possible with referencing.
