-how do you see the political music of the 70s and 80s as reflections of changes in society?
-how is the political music of the 70s and 80s different from earlier eras in American history, such as the Civil Rights era?
-What are Tipper Stickers relevant to/reflective of? Why did they arise historically when they did?
Length is unimportant (but remember it is worth 10% of your final grade in the class! so one page probably isn’t enough), but content is. Make sure that you demonstrate that you watched the movie and did the readings. The one thing I do not want to see is just a re-telling of the reading (but a re-telling that situates the songs into the larger era is fine).
