Critically discuss the extent to which empirical evidence supports viewpoint-independent (also referred to as viewpoint-invariant) theories of object recognition, such as Biedermans Recognition by Components theory (1987).

In critically discussing the empirical evidence it will be necessary to in the main base the analysis and discussion on primary sources. A list of possible sources is included in attachment. The introduction paragraph should not be more then 150 words.
