For your research paper, please select a topic that is controversial and interests you. With selecting a topic, ask yourself, What is the issue?

Topic – child beauty pageants
Issue – Many young kids are abused in the pageant industry which often results in damaged self esteem and poor body image.
The thesis statement can start to develop with taking a stand or figuring out how to redeem the issue. So maybe it can be that certain enforcements or rules need to be placed to allow kids in pageants or maybe it can be that pageants need to be abolished. Sometimes the stand we take is developed more with research.
For this paper, make sure you have primary sources and as well as at least 2 Secondary sources that are academic found on the database.
The same rules follow for this paper as your other papers: 12 font, Times New Roman and double -spaced. The paper is to be 5-8 pages and you need to include a works cited page. The works cited page or the cover- page, does not count as part of the 5 pages due.
Remember to keep in mind that in your introduction, you want to introduce the topic and let us know your thesis statement. What will you inform us about and what is your position on the topic?
The body of your paper will defend your thesis and make sure to provide evidence. Finally your conclusion ties up what you have discussed in your paper and possibly has a call to action.
