Purpose/Overview: For this assignment, you will be asked to independently research a specific program designed to treat trauma-related issues and present your findings in slideshow format. The purpose of this assignment is to allow you to demonstrate knowledge of evidence-based and best practice interventions used in the treatment of trauma. It is also designed to model a professional presentation that you might be asked to give at your agency or in your community.
Format: First, identify a program that is trauma-focused and/or provides trauma specific services. ACEs Connection has info and links to programs in all 50 states. NCTSN has info and links to several programs with which they are affiliated. You can find other programs by searching online and in the library databases. Next, prepare a slide presentation that addresses all of the questions below. Your presentation should be organized into the following sections (i.e. at least one slide per section) and address the questions in each section. Lastly, view and provide feedback on at least 5 peer presentations.
