In this assignment, you will develop your own strength and conditioning philosophy. This philosophy should reflect where you are now as a strength and conditioning coach and is something you should revisit every five to ten years. Please note, this is not a rote answer the questions assignment. We highly suggest you set aside time to reflect on these questions prior to answering them and use the assignment to facilitate personal and professional growth.
Questions to consider:
• What are the values and principles that guide my coaching?
• What do I believe athletes need to succeed on the field?
• How do I meet those needs?
• What are my goals for my athletes?
• How do I meet those goals?
• Where are you headed? What do you need to strengthen or develop? How do you plan on improving over time as a coach?
