After reading your chapter, you now know there is such a thing as “communicative disease.” According to James Lynch from your textbook, “The absence of heartfelt communication in relationships leads to loneliness and social isolation.” Considering what we have all experienced with the COVID-19 health pandemic, many organizations are finding ways to “support” those who are feeling isolated and or depressed from a lack of healthy socialization.
