Write a paper that is a persuasive evaluation.
Choose a specific person, place or thing to evaluate.
Set up at least three stated criteria for judging your subject. Criteria must be general and apply to all members of the class. Example: A Good restaurant should be inexpensive, clean and quiet.
Evaluate the specific subject by the criteria you use in your introduction.
Paper Format:
Paragraph 1: Introduce your subject and general criteria. Underline your thesis statement.
Paragraphs 2-4: Briefly define criteria. Give specific examples of how your subject measures up to the criteria.
Paragraph 5: Sum up and repeat your thesis.
If you score less than 81% you may revise the paper and accept a grade of B for the course.
