People with schizophrenia have been subjected to much mistreatment, and indifference. Schizophrenia can be a challenge to treat, and very few people with this disorder get appropriate treatment.
Proponents of a new treatment model hope to change the image of schizophrenia as a chronic condition in which recovery is unlikely, to a recoverable condition. A number of psychologists believe that, some people can significantly improve, or even recover from schizophrenia.
