Two theories of race and ethnicity that were explored in the readings include racial formation and intersectionality. Each of these theories shows how race interacts with many other social forces, namely history and the law, respectively. Compare and contrast these two important theories as they relate to how Andrew Hacker, Clara Rodriguez, and Dalton Conley define and conceptualize race and/or ethnicity.
