PART I CASE STUDY: Pick a famous politician, sportsperson or celebrity who has been arrested within the past 5 years. They must have been famous before their arrest; not because of their arrest. From there, describe the events and facts of the arrest. Answer questions like when, where and why were they arrested? Who else was involved? Who was the victim? What was the result of their arrest (jail/prison, fines, rehab, revoked/suspended license, etc.)?
PART II MOTIVE/THEORY: Explain your individuals motive for committing the crime using one of the theories discussed in Chapter 7 of Introduction to Sociology 2e. Remember, to briefly define the theory including who developed it.
