An ability that adults tend to take for granted is our ability to perceive faces. As discussed in Box 5.1 of your textbook, infants are attracted to look at faces almost from birth and within the first year of life are able to perceive a lot of information about faces.
I want you to read Box 5.1 and pick out one aspect of infant face perception that you found particularly surprising or interesting. Discuss why you found this ability interesting and what implication this ability may have for the way we, as adults, interact with other people.
