Set up for Question 1. Go to Google Books Ngram Viewer (link). Take a look at the sample chart and see when Albert Einstein became famous, or more specifically, when his name began to appear frequently in English-language books. Once you get a feel for the website, delete the sample terms, Albert Einstein,Sherlock Holmes,Frankenstein. Now, type in gun rights (without the quotation marks). You should be able to see when gun rights became a popular concept. Next, keep gun rights in the search tab but insert a comma after it and add animal rights. Your search bar should look like this: gun rights, animal rights (again, without the quotation marks. Examine the results. Next, add another comma and type abortion rights. Finally, add another comma and type gay rights. Feel free to add other types of rights too.
