* (2) Identify one federal or state laws that regulate families in the United Sates. Do you think that this law meets the situation it was enacted to address? Why or why not?
* (3) Most recent the Supreme Court ruled that the Civil Rights Act protects gay and transgender workers from workplace discrimination. Prior to the passing of this ruling it was legal in more than half of the states to fire workers for being gay, bisexual and transgender. Why do you think it has taken this long, over a decade to obtain this protection and what role may social workers play in seeking more
