What are the major issues within your watershed?
What are the primary causes?
Are the issues due to historic usage or new conditions?
(Example lower 18 miles of the Passaic River are the largest Superfund site in US history due to dumping this is historic. The upper Passaic River has issues with salt loading and temperature rise, these are newer issues due to multiple reasons.)
Once you have identified the major issues, start to research these issues on a broad scale. You will need at least TWO peer reviewed articles that relate to the issues in your watershed. They DO NOT have to be directly about your watershed but can be research that has been done on the topic in other areas.
Then you will need to look into solutions for the issues you have identified. It may be that work is already being done within your watershed, it may be that these issues are new and no work in the area has been attempted. You will need TWO peer reviewed articles that cover research into solutions for the watershed issues you are going to discuss. They may NOT be the same as the articles you find to discuss the issues themselves.
In a short summary (1-2 pages) discuss the issues and potential solutions and list your sources.
