Urban Planning Influencer – using main text Walkable City by Jeff Speck

Critically assess the contributions of a particular urban planning influencer using a text by or about the figure as the predominate source and supported by other sources.

Your work should include:

a brief biographical/career sketch of the influencer,
an exposition of the influencer’s contribution to the field of urban planning and legacy, and
a critique of the principles associated with the influencer.
Read the text and collect supporting sources. Take notes that include discussion questions, key points, and a rough outline or draft.
Cover page – author name, paper title, assignment, instructor, date, and course number.

Introduction – state the topic and research question, provide context and gives the reader a roadmap for where the paper is going.
Focus – on explaining your critical analysis. Use supportive evidence from your source material.
Conclusion – let the reader know what you concluded, or learned, from the evidence. Show how you supported your thesis argument. Do not simply restate your introduction or summarize your paper.
