Analyze the incidence of the use of the communicative approach on the production and oral comprehension of English as a foreign language in sixth grade students of the Jaime Garzn school, using a qualitative approach and action research as research design to analyze the impact and effectiveness of the selected approach in the development of the aforementioned competences, although the study is in the final stage, it is preliminarily concluded that the proper use of the communicative approach has a positive impact on the oral comprehension and production of students in English, The students react positively to the paradigm shift in the teaching of English since now they use it more as a communicative tool than as an object of study, although its pronunciation is not yet the best, the students have lost the fear of making mistakes and participate actively from activities.
