Deontology: The Gunpoint Dilemma
The Plot
Plot/Background: On 7 January 2015, a cartoonist returned to her place of employment after picking up her daughter from daycare. Two gunmen threatened to shoot her daughter if she did not enter the passcode allowing them access to the magazine offices. She did and twelve people were murdered in and around the Charlie Hebdo office that day.
The Question
