Scenario: According to your readings, leading with a moral compass can become very grey when making a decision that’s best for the greater good. The ethical theory of utilitarianism states that decisions are made with the notation of what is the greater good for everyone. Yes there will be some consequences, but does the pleasure of the decision outweigh the pain of the potential consequences. As we’ve seen and/or experienced with this school session, Presidents and Superintendents have had to make the decisions on whether to let children, faculty and staff return to campus or remain in a virtual learning platform.
