Instructions:

After completing Palmer’s book, To Know As We Are Known, you should aim to address the concepts below in a 3-5 page paper, reporting on Palmer’s views while also incorporating your own thoughts. Following APA formatting is mandatory. Students who do not do so will lose significant points as a result. Make note that your cover page and References do NOT count toward page total. You do NOT need to provide an abstract. You are required to cite a minimum of two (2) additional academic, scholarly sources, other than the Palmer book itself (which should also be on your References page), to accompany and/or back up your ideas and responses. You are encouraged to be creative in doing research. References are expected to be accurately and fully cited.

Paper Criteria:

Identify and explain one key element of INTRApersonal communication.
Report on Palmers view in your own words (i.e. not just repeating / retyping what he states).
Answer the question, what does it mean to “know thyself”?
Discuss your point of view and anything else you deem relevant.
Include implications and challenges of this important endeavor for people in the 21st century.
Your research paper will be submitted twice! You will submit a hard copy (PRINT ONE-SIDED) to professor in class AND submit the paper electronically in Canvas as an MS Word doc/docx.
