Write a personal essay and focuses on what obstacles or challenges my son had to overcome or to let them know what they should know about him. Looking for one essay that would demonstrated how he had an obstacle (speech impediment/lisp) and how he challenged himself along the way to keep getting better. The goal is to show examples on how he handled it to show that he has resilience, is self-motivated, self-seeker, not afraid to ask for help as well, doesn’t settle, and keeps challenges himself. With those goals in mind, he wants to show the colleges that this has shaped him as well as how he will handle college struggles and what kind of student he will be.
