As our communities continue to evolve, so does the fire threat. The diversity of our communities plays an important role in the fire threat.
Research and create a powerpoint on cultures (IE: Aborigine, American Indian, Muslim, African American, Latin, etc…) and fire. You can look at cross cultures or center your paper on one specific culture. How is fire used? What dangers does fire pose to these cultures? How do these cultures use fires for religious celebrations/rituals, land management, cooking, etc….? How do these cultures view fire safety? How do these cultures view and utilize Fire Departments, EMS, and/or Emergency Management?
The powerpoint should be a minimum of 6 slides. It should contain a Title Slide and end with a Reference Slide. It should cite at least three references.
