As more and more businesses realize that Information security is a big data issue, more and more security tool vendors, start to introduce and/or develop scalable and intelligent security analytics tools to use big data capability to help keep pace with advanced threats and prevent attacks before their happen (Glick, 2013; IBM Software, 2013; Oltsik, 2014). These new security tools developed form the foundation of the new generation security information and event management (SIEM) technologies. These new security tools not only share some common functionality as previous generation tools, but also have individual specialties. There are many reports on these new types of security tools, especially in the white papers made by the tools vendors. However, so far, there is no reported research work on which has made a good survey to the existing scalable and intelligent security analytics tools on their new technical functions and suitable application areas or targeted security problems.

Search the Library and Internet to find references that discuss scalable and intelligent security analytics tools. Based on the results of your research, write a survey paper that meets the following requirements:

Include at least 4 scalable and intelligent security analytics tools from different vendors.
Identify the main functions such as anomaly detection capability, event correlation capability, real-time analytics capability, and so forth of each tool.
Assess if the tool is suited or used in the cloud computing environment.
Identify the targeted applications or security problems that each tool is most suited to solve (e.g., Web application, financial application, insider threats analysis, full-spectrum fraud detection, and Internet-scale botnet discovery).
Briefly describe the key design considerations for scalability of each tool.
Discuss the pros and cons of each tool.
You need to present the justification or rationale on your point of view and should use examples to illustrate your point of view. Find at least 3 references from the Library and the Internet based on your research interests.
