a little bit about myself
I grew up in East Africa (Ethiopia) with my grandmother, whom I spent my childhood taking care of. In developing countries, the healthcare system is fragmented ( insufficient resources, inappropriate allocation of resources, and inadequate quality). This has a detrimental effect on the population of emerging countries. In addition, individuals suffer due to a lack of timely access to high-quality healthcare services, including my low-income families. i think that also influence me to have an interest in healthcare.
Being raised in developing countries, I’ve become increasingly aware of growing gaps in healthcare, which opened my eyes when I took BHS 201 in my freshman year at UWB., which convinced me that health studies are the right fit for me……..
i came to the USA almost four years ago. It was hard for the first two years to learn a new culture and language, including taking special classes in high schools, such as ESL….. However, I notice that I am learning so fast, and I have become more active than ever after only four years in America.
To future my interest in working with and around people, i have planned to take an EMT class this year ( i started the class this summer, but unfortunately, i tested positive for covid, so i had stopped)…..
