The first step in the ACH process is to review the information contained in the intelligence scenario and identify 3-5 ways in which you think the scenario could possibly unfold. Remember to “think outside the box” as the purpose of this step is to brainstorm possible hypotheses.
Using the below link and the attached document Complete the “ACH Step One: Identify Possible Scenario Outcomes (Hypotheses)” table by entering 3-5 potential outcomes relating to the scenario. In short, you’re asking yourself “how can this scenario ultimately play out?” Each outcome should only be one sentence long. Remember, try to think about potential outcomes based on your review of the case.
