The format for the paper must follow the basic guidelines below:

Brief Description: What is the subject matter? What do you see?
Analysis: Describe, as best you can, the artists technique used in the piece.
Conclusion: Your own informed opinion about the work. What you say here must be supported by your analysis above.
Reference Page: Reference page with at least 3 sources.

– in description and analysis, address the “what” (what is depicted, what we see, etc.), the “how” (how it is executed for instance, oil on canvas, ink on paper, etc.), and the “why” (your interpretation of the artist’s inspiration, aims, and aspirations). Your essay should contain insights that enable the reader to understand the historical and socio-cultural background and provide a scholarly analysis of the visual elements and principles of design. For instance, if you are writing about a painting, please examine its composition, perspective (if any), colors, and brushwork
