What is implicit bias, it’s impacts and how can we fight negative impacts of it?

Task:
For this research essay project, you will write a research report that discusses the essential question above. For example, you would explain what implicit bias is, it’s impacts and how we can address it. Examine the effects of implicit bias on how we see others and how this impacts our actions and behaviours individually and as a society. Examine how implicit bias is personal, social, and cultural. Discuss what can be done to counteract and fight negative implicit bias as individuals and as a society.

Required:
– To research the given topic so that you become an expert on it. Incorporate statistics and data.
– create a works cited page to hand in and use MLA style guidelines throughout your text.
– Develops a research report clear headings, visual aid, and formal structure to communicate a response to the question.

Essay must also include:
– a visual aid in the form of a chart or graph (If you use an already existing chart/graph you must cite it)
– MLA formatting – includes intext and works cited list
– 12 point font (Times new Roman)
– Formal tone and mature vocabulary
– Length must be approximately 1700-2000 words

You will be expected to find reputable and academic resources for your research. The number of sources will be required as part of my mark. You must not use Wikipedia or any similar cite. Make sure you are showing your highest level of understanding. You need to follow the requirements of extended understanding.

To show extended understanding (max 6 out of 6)- write a research report of approximately 1700 words that uses in-text citation, statistics, and analysis of research to communicate a response to the essential question. The report is formatted with a clear introduction, main body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Headings and a visual aid ( in the form of a chart or graph) are used to support your conclusion and incorporated into the discussion. Demonstrate thorough research with at-least 5 academic sources that are identified in the works cited list.
