The paper deals with the play “A raisin in the sun”. The writing should be about the topic of materialism/capitalism; and the American Dream/personal American dreams of the characters. In the context chapter I would suggest not writing only about the American Dream; I think there must be much more than that, more social aspects, maybe, what the A. D. meant for blacks in America back then. How did materialism manifest for the blacks? How did segregation prevent them from achieving their goals, either material or non-material American Dreams? This would be the theoretical background for the interpretation.
I would ask you to use 4 secondary sources in addition to the play. And please always cite the sources you are using as I expect you to write 100% plagiarism-free.
A chapter “relevance of my topic for the field of study”(Literary Studies) should be written. For this particular chapter, I would ask you to write no more than 0,75 pages.
Also, I would appreciate it if you think about how Walter Lee somehow changes his views about the great importance of money at the end of the play when he refuses the offer from Lindner…
