Use the online resources to access your states Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association website. Additional references can be from your textbook or the online library.
Worksheet
The nursing supervisor on the night shift at the local hospital receives a call from the charge nurse on one of the medical-surgical units. The charge nurse is calling to report a situation where a registered nurse and a nursing unit assistant have exchanged photos of patients in embarrassing moments. The photos were taken using personal cell phones and without the patients knowledge or consent. Per hospital policy, the supervisor has confiscated the cell phones from the RN and the NUA and turned them over to the hospital administration.
Considering this scenario, please evaluate the impact for the nursing staff involved and the hospital based upon the worksheet parameters. Please download the assessment worksheet and type in the boxes and they will expand as you type.
