Role Transition and Career
Are you ready to venture out into the world as a BSN graduate? Have you planned out your next career step? This week we will examine the transition to leading and managing and the importance of recognizing personal strengths, available resources, and personal expectations regarding the transition to a position of greater responsibility. Self-management, time-management, and stress reduction techniques will be discussed. A growth plan for your career will be discussed.
Module 7: Learning Objectives:
After working through this module, students should be able to:
Categorize responsibilities of the nurse manager and leader (T/C)
Identify ways to effectively transition into the role of nurse manager (I)
Determine strategies for time-management and review stress reduction techniques (EBP, T/C)
Discuss career options and development activities to advance your role in the nursing profession (T/C)

Please note this is not required but recommended for better understanding of personal leadership development. This is a great tool for understanding yourself and your personality.
