write a transcript for an imaginary program segment of this type in which you serve as the moderator and the guest experts are at least four of the major theorists. Your choices for panelists are: Marx, Durkheim, Weber, Simmel, Gilman, DuBois and Mead. Incorporation of anyone other than those previously listed will result a deduction of two letter grades worth of points from the final score. As the focus for their debate or discussion you may choose any lead news story (top story) that has appeared in Newsweek (newsweek.com) or Time (time.com) between January 1, 2023 and the present (please attach a downloaded copy of the news story to your assignment). There is no fixed outline for your transcript; however, the following minimal elements should be included: (1) a very brief introduction by the narrator of the issue to be discussed (for the brain-dead TV viewers who do not have a clue what’s happening in the world); (2) very brief narrator introductions of the panel of guest experts; (3) at least four substantive questions posed by the narrator that all panel guests have a chance to answer based on their theoretical perspective. You may introduce other elements as you desire (guests rudely interrupting each other, narrator cutting off guests who get too long-winded, narrator pressing guests on weaknesses or contradictions in their argument, etc.), but your questions must provide opportunity to explore the theoretical perspectives of the theorists you have chosen for your panel. The minimum length for the exam is 10 pages (typed, 12 point font, single-spaced text with an extra space between each speaker and the next).overarching goal of the assignment, which is to illustrate how these theorists think about the social world. That means, most importantly, what aspects of a given situation would they see as most important? How would they go about explaining the underlying cause of social events? What solutions would they propose for dealing with social problems? And how would they situate the specific issue under discussion within their broader political and theoretical world view?
