Write a research paper explaining how the foreign exchange market and exchange rates differ from one another. THE INTERNATIONAL FINANCE TERM PAPER Each student will write a paper (the paper is 10 pages in length or 2000 words excluding the title page, the table of content and the abstract) examining specific aspects of international finance. It is highly recommended to apply any such aspects on Canada or any country or countries of interest. Suggested topics could be the following: 1. Exchange Rates and the Foreign Exchange Market 2. Money, Interest Rates and Exchange Rates 3. Price Levels and the Exchange Rates in the Long-Run 4. Output and the Exchange Rate in the Short-Run 5. Fixed Exchange Rates and the Foreign Exchange Rate Intervention 6. Macroeconomic Policy and Coordination under the Floating Exchange Rates 7. Optimum Currency Areas and the European Experience Any international finance topic of interest could be used for the term papers. The paper should be presented in form of an argument, where your thesis is clearly stated in the beginning. You will be graded on the quality of your paper. Usually analytical papers that use the analytical economic tools discussed in class to support your argument would receive a high mark. You are required to use more than three references in your bibliography.
