Assignment 6: Research Essay (30%) Instructions: Write a detailed argumentative essay in which you respond to the following question: “Are gender issues still a problem in modern America?” Additional Requirements *Include an introductory paragraph consisting of your thesis statement and well-developed lead-in sentences, at least three or four body paragraphs, and a concluding paragraph. *At least one direct quote (with quotation marks) from a minimum of six periodical articles must be incorporated into the essay. Failure to meet this requirement will result in a D for the assignment. *A Works Cited page must be included. Works Cited entries must be arranged according to MLA style of documentation. Failure to include a Works Cited page will result in a D for the assignment. *The essay must be at least 1500 words (excluding the works cited). Failure to meet this requirement will result in at most a “D” for the assignment *The essay must be double-spaced, 12-point size type, Times New Roman font You may use sources outside of the textbook.
