“Leaders everywhere are focused on increasing the engagement of their employees. Increasingly, we’re seeing that employees, especially Millennials, get bored easily with their work and start looking for new challenges to spark their interest” (Armstrong & Mitchell, 2019, p. 167). When a worker is disengaged, productivity suffers. However, keeping employees engaged often requires a great deal of effort. In this assignment, you will develop a 1- to 2-page newsletter announcing the employee engagement opportunities available and encouraging employees to participate. Step 1 Select a work environment to focus on (virtual/remote, in-person, hybrid).
Step 2 Research strategies for increasing employee engagement in your work environment. Identify and describe 2-3 research-based employee engagement activities. Use in-text citations to support your statements or ideas. Create your newsletter. Be sure to introduce your employee engagement plan and develop the newsletter in such a way that you create excitement.
