You will read and analyze the posted selection from Ray Kurzweil’s The Singularity is Near. You are to analyze it from C.S. Lewis’ perspective and explain whether C.S. Lewis would agree or disagree with Kurzweil’s argument. You may use any of the readings from the course but stick to the assigned readings. When you make a claim about what Lewis would think, back it up with a citation. Citations: The first time you cite an individual work in each essay, provide a full Chicago-Turabian style footnote. Use of texts: I expect you to use support from a variety of the readings. Make sure to refer to That Hideous Strength. Writing Expectations: I expect clear theses and well-written arguments with direct support from the texts. Your space is limited so avoid long quotations. You do not need to summarize the novels for me. You are writing an analytical essay. This means you are directly answering the question. You are not telling me what you liked or disliked about the readings.
