Equality is one of the tenants of social work practice as evidenced in NASWs Code of Ethics. Ensuring equality is an essential part of a social workers role. It is an issue that is pervasive in our society encompassing issues such as wage-earning gaps; disparities in healthcare; and access to resources. Equality has become more relevant as the COVID-19 pandemic impacts marginalized communities at higher rates both economically and medically.
