For this assessment you will create an abridged research proposal in an area of your choosing. The research proposal must comprise of the following elements. Word lengths given are a guide to the level of information required for each element.
RESEARCH TITLE – Does diverse staff and skill mix of teams impact quality of care in long-term elderly health care?.
RESEARCH SUMMARY – [approximately 100 words] a short paragraph explaining what the project aims to achieve, when and how it will be achieved, and why it was important to explore this topic (the significance of the study)?
RESEARCH QUESTION – [approximately 25 words] using the SPIDER framework devise a qualitative research question that asks what you want to know, explore, investigate, or examine in this research project.
BACKGROUND – [approximately 500 words] a paragraph explaining how the problem was identified, what is known about the problem, where knowledge gaps exist and how this research will inform us.
PROPOSED METHODOLOGY – [approximately 40 words] A statement indicating the methodology and why this methodology is best suited to answer the research question.
RESEARCH DESIGN/METHOD – [approximately 500 words] short paragraphs that describe the location/setting of the study, the participants and how you will recruit them to the study, how you will collect data and what type of data you will collect, and
how that data will be analysed and presented.
ETHICAL CONSIDERATIONS – [approximately 100 words] a paragraph explaining the ethical implications of this proposal and where ethical approval will be sought from.
You are required to use existing literature to support the background information, research design and ethical considerations sections of your research proposal. Referencing should follow APA 7th edition conventions. Where literature has a DOI, these must be provided in your reference list as per APA 7th edition conventions.
