Research the “The Latin American Boom Movement” and explain what the “Boom” was about, during what time period it flourished, who the major authors of the movement are, the principal factors that influenced their writings, and the innovations they brought to modern literature. Be sure to list two major works of each author and, based on review, criticism and/or excerpts, give a brief analytical insight into each work. Support your ideas, perspectives, points of view, thoughts, what have you, with solid quotes and or paraphrases. Give attribution and cite your sources as accurately as possible. Your essay must include at least five quotes from the authors of the Boom and other critical sources ( at least three in-text quotes and two block quotes ), and a Works Cited page. NOTE: This essay MUST be written strictly from the third-person perspective. In other words, no I, we, and you, unless, of course, they are in quoted information.

Audience: An academic reader who has no knowledge of the Boom movement and would therefore acquire a fair insight of it from your essay.
