Step 2: Using APA formatting, in-text citations and a reference list to:

Define gender bias as it relates to the topic you have selected.
In your paper you will write about how many women are affected in the US and or globally (since we care for people). Use Chesnutt Library and/or Google Scholar to find an article to support the impact of your topic of choice. Be sure to reference your article.
In your paper explain how the gender bias topic you chose affects patient care as it relates to women’s health.
For example: Do people delay care due to this bias, is nursing judgement affected by this bias.
Find a organization (.org) resource that supports your gender bias topic. Write information about the organization, explaining the organizational goals/mission and how the nurses can use the information to improve the care we provide to people/patients affected by your topic of choice, be sure to include how patients can be empowered to use the resource on their own. ie. is there a reporting system, is there an advice line.
Do not forget to reference your resource. It is important for nurses and patients to know where to find helpful resources.
Explain the professional nursing role/roles (advocate, clinician, collaborator, coordinator, leader, researcher, educator) you are planning to use to decrease gender bias to improves women’s health based on the topic you chose. Be sure this is not an abstract idea but something that can actually be done.
