Improvment Goal: Pinch Sorting

Use the Deep Listening and Pinch Sorting templates to assess your practice. What are you doing well? What do you still need to work on? How can you continue to challenge yourself to develop these skills?
What new realizations did you have while practicing deep listening and pinch sorting?
What new insights have you have from hearing pod mates feedback over the past several weeks?
Framing my answer:
I am keeping my improvement goal after all analysis of my pods mate.
My Improvement goal:
My improvement goal is to enhance my performance in Pinch Sorting exercises. I have considered several thoughts for my improvement goal.
Firstly, I would like to determine specific Pinch Sorting exercise areas where I struggle, such as speed, accuracy, or endurance.
I want clear, quantifiable objectives for progress, such as reducing turnaround time or raising the proportion of correctly sorted goods.
My focus to achieve my goal is to think about the resources or assistance I require to complete any improvement goals. This can involve having access to tools or supplies for practicing, finding a coach or mentor, or getting input from peers or teachers.
I should also consider how my results from Pinch Sorting exercises connect to my overall objectives and ambitions, both personally and professionally.
Reflecting on my past behaviors while facing challenging situations, U realize I could have handled them better. However, now with the knowledge of the too, I reconsider how I have handled similar problems or chores and note any patterns or ideas I should continue to address to improve my pinch sorting skills and become a better leader.

Comment of my Pods mate:
1. In what ways does this goal meet the criteria in the checklist on page 2 of Choosing and Refining an Improvement Goal?

Is this goal something that the person genuinely feels is something that they want to improve? Yes, she values the pinch sorting tool as a resource to improve impact and success both in her professional and personal life.
Is this goal something the person must get better at? Jessie feels that improving the speed, accuracy, or endurance with which she uses the pinch sort tool will improve the way she has engaged with challenges in the past.
Is this something that the person has not yet come close to accomplishing? Im not entirely sure given our current level of interactions but if she had success with the tool in the previous weeks, maybe there is a different or slightly tweaked improvement goal that she hasnt come close to accomplishing yet.

Is this a goal that could make a big difference in helping the persons work and/or personal life? Based on Jessies Step One response this week, yes, she feels it will make a big difference in her leadership performance and this is illustrated when she states wanting clear, quantifiable objectives for progress, such as reducing turnaround time or raising the proportion of correctly sorted goods as an outcome of improving her speed, accuracy and endurance when using the pinch sorting tool.
2. What do you personally appreciate about their goal or their rationale for choosing it? I appreciate that the goal is tightly linked to a resource introduced in the module as this tool. There is an implied commitment that by better using the pinch sorting tool Jessie will better understand her patterns of behavior / responses to challenges in the past and in what ways she can handle them better in the future. Thank you for sharing your goal, Jessie.

Do you notice any patterns in what pinches you or what you tend to hone in on?
How are listening deeply and sorting pinches helping you develop – what might you think, feel, and do differently with the help of these tools?
Have you noticed any changes in yourself, your perspective, or your awareness, over the past several weeks? If so, where do you think they might be coming from?

Final Improvement Goal
hen share your almost-final draft improvement goal, showing how it meets the improvement goal criteria:
Does the goal feel true for me?
Is there room for improvement?
Is it very important to me?
Does this goal implicate me?
Now that you have had more time to reflect, go ahead and make any changes youd like to your initial draft. Then reflect using these questions. Respond in a short paragraph or two below.
What new insights did you have from hearing pod mates feedback?
Did you feel listened to and understood by your pod mates?
What was it like to receive your pod mates responses to your improvement goal? If you felt pinched, what was the ego threat for you?
