iPad for Autistic Program in Liberia
iPad is one of the best tools to help teach children who are diagnosed with Autism. Some childrens only form of communication is thru their iPad.
Currently, in our classroom Arthur & Zwannah First Autism Classroom we do not have any way for the children to communicate.
As a licensed Registered Behavioral Technician, I worked in Staten Island, New York using the iPad. I see the differences it makes in communication with the children I worked with here in USA. and I want to ensure families who can’t afford it can use them in school.
This year I am looking for help to buy three iPad for our classroom students who deserve them.
In Liberia and Sierra Leone, mothers cannot raise enough money to buy communication devices for children who have autism and are non-verbal.
It will be used to help the children communicate in ways other than their voices.
The device will open doors for children with Autism in Liberia and Kenya
