For this assignment, you will need to choose a debatable issue that has not been resolved yet within your declared major or one that you are considering (if you have not declared). You will need to provide me with background information on the issue, the demographic involved, and explain what strategy or solution could solve this problem/need.

This assignment will need to be 200-400 words, MLA format, Times New Roman and single spaced. You must submit it online through the Assignments tab on Blackboard.

Once you have narrowed down your audience and demographic, then you need to explain what three main subtopics you will focus on. What areas do you notice in the research that need to be examined and explored? Use your citations for sources.
Conclusion
End with your research question and a thesis statement which answers this question.
Two citations required for this portion of the project and they must be credible.

Annotated Bibliography (Part II of Proposal Project)

50pts

For this assignment, you will add sources and research from your issue in your proposal. You are required to have at least 8-12 sources, and 3 of them must be scholarly sources. You will need to write at least five (5) evaluative annotations, each of which must be 150-200 words each. You may provide 2 additional annotations for 2 points extra credit towards your final project. These must be in MLA format and be on the second sheet of your proposal. These sources are in addition to the two sources on the first page of your proposal.
This annotated bibliography will be the last part of your proposal project and therefore must be part of the issue you are researching (as stated above). Both the annotated bibliography and the proposal must be revised and proof-read before turning it in for a final grade. I highly recommend using the online tutors from Learning Commons or SmartThink in Student Resource file in Modules.
