Carefully summarize Lewiss argument(s) in Chapter 3 entitled “The Reality of the Law.” Be sure to identify clearly the conclusion(s) for which he is arguing. Be sure to thoroughly summarize the reasoning that he provides for his conclusion(s).

Provide clear evidence via quotation (or paraphrasing) with appropriate citations for your claims. There may be some topics that are not useful for analyzing Lewiss essay; do not feel like you have to mention every topic that was addressed in the first unit. For example, you may believe that there is clear evidence in the essay that Lewis views faith in an evidentialist (or fideist, or critical rationalist) way. Or you may think that the essay does not provide any evidence for how Lewis understands faith.
For whom is the essay likely to be persuasive? For whom is the essay likely to be unpersuasive? Thoroughly explain your answers to these questions.
For those for whom the essay is persuasive, what do you think its implications are for how one lives?
