Identify at least one key feature of the organization’s “internal landscape” and explain its significance to the crisis management in the case;

In the Week 2 Lesson lecture article, “Crisis management and sustainable development: A framework and proposed research agenda,” (2008), Crandall & Mensah discuss strategic planning within a crisis management framework. They explain that part of the planning should involve assessing the organization’s internal and external “landscape.” (pp. 19-20). The article explains what they mean by this. Review this article again for this assignment.
For this assignment: research and locate a real life business crisis management situation. This does not need to be one currently in the news. It can be a past event you find in your research. Do NOT choose a company that you will be covering in other Assignments.
In an APA 7th ed. formatted paper, present the following:
1. Identify the organization and nature of the business.
2. Summarize the crisis situation, including type of crisis, phases, facts of the crisis.
3. Identify at least one key feature of the organization’s “internal landscape” and explain its significance to the crisis management in the case;
4. Identify at least one key feature of the organization’s “external landscape” and explain its significance to the crisis management in the case;
5. Describe at least one lesson the organization learned (or should learn) from the crisis situation; and
6. Describe at least one continued practice, or one change in management operation(s) — whichever is relevant to best practice in the case – that the organization has done, or could implement, to integrate a measurable contribution to prospective, long term sustainability.
Be specific, analytical, and support your statements with the Crandall & Mensah article and your research.
For example, all firms have stakeholders. If you identify a stakeholder as a key landscape element, who is it? Why is it key? It is not sufficient to say “stakeholders” are a key landscape element.
Utilize examples from other business crisis situations and discussions in the literature to support your analysis and recommendations.
Elements of paper:
1. The paper should have a Title page, an introduction with thesis statement, and a conclusion, with a separate References page at the end.
2. Utilize APA 7th ed. format for your paper and formatted headings in the paper. APA guidelines direct how to use and format headings and subheadings.
3. Your research sources must be cited in your text, not only in a References list at the end.
For guidance: See this APA Sample Paper
4. Your citations must be in APA 7th ed format.
5. Minimum 5 credible research sources. NO wikipedias, investopedias, dictionaries, etc. Use your course materials and readings. These can provide much of your research and will be useful in further research.
6. See Grading Rubric for paper length, and other guidance on how your work will be evaluated. (References/title page are not included in word count.)
7. An abstract is not required. If included, it does not count toward the length requirement.
This paper is due Sunday ending Week 3, 11:59 p.m. ET. It is 20% value of your course grade.
