3. The book report should clearly identify the major thesis of the book. It sets the stage and
provides the background and perspective of the author.
4. Name of the book, your name and date are clearly stated.
5. A discussion of the key points are carefully organized and presented in a scholarly style.
Verbatim quotations are used sparingly and well documented.
6. The analysis includes an explicit discussion on how this book related to your specific area
of study. The impact that this book could have on your professional life or future
professional life is detailed as well as the impact on your every day personal life.
7. Sentences are complete and grammatically correct.
8. The report is to be five to seven typed double-spaced pages with a 12-point font. Margins
are approximately 1″ on top and bottom, 1″ on left side and 1″ on right side.
