Imagine you are running a program for first-time offenders and introducing the program that you select to your agency. This is really important – remember who your audience is. You are not creating this for me the instructor. You are making a presentation to a bunch of folks who know nothing about this program; when you are done with your presentation you want them to know about this program and support it – that is your goal.

Create a 1-page handout and short presentation (5 minutes) about the rehabilitation technique. Use images that are copyright-free to bolster your information.

The Short Presentation a Power Point, use brief speaker notes to make it clear what the slides are. The One Page Handout is a word document, this is more complete explanation of the whole presentation. Keep in mind the key is make this clear and brief. Think about if you were in the audience listening to this and seeing the slides (listening to the presenter, and that presenter is you) would you by seeing and hearing this know the answers to the questions below. If after seeing the slides and reading the hand out you (as an audience member who knows zippo about this program) would be able to answer questions below (I have put them in green to make it clear which questions), then you’ve done this assigment effectively. If the answers to the questions in green are not clear to you (as an audience member) after your slides and hand out, then you still have more to do to make it clear.
