Tie the subject of sequencing to major advancements in medicine or other areas of research. You could also potentially find ways to simplify understanding and learning these concepts as novice biochemists. Any subjects you can tie directly with sequencing or nucleic acid biochemistry is fair game, so long as it wouldn’t exceed undergraduate knowledge of the topic.
