Here are the exact directions from the professor:
“Throughout the course we will be talking about what contributes to a full life and by implication the less-full life. Its been often said that there is always room for improvement hence the rationale for this paper. Beginning in the first week of class think fully and clearly about the implications derived from your reading and from our discussions for crafting a future good life for yourself. The time frame is up to you 10, 15, 20 (or other) years from now. As we go through the course you will learn much about your strengths, your traits, your choices, and your life circumstances that impact on the quality of your life. You will learn about what contributes to lasting (as opposed to transient) happiness, how to maximize the use of your personal strengths, how to cope with adversity and perhaps even grow from the experience, and about how to take control of alterable situations to increase the quality of life. Based on what you learn sketch out what your believe will be an ideal future life for yourself. Say why you believe your life will be a full, meaningful, and engaging one and how you might go about crafting this life. What are the factors that will help you and what challenges will you face and how might you meet these challenges?”
-PLEASE write about this: In 10 years, I would like to be married to my current boyfriend with kids and hopefully working in a job that has to do with child psychology because I love children. (I am a 22 year old woman right now). You can talk about how family is important and having a good family dynamic is important to happiness. Please make sure all 5 of the articles are empirical research only and related to positive psychology. You can talk about eudaiamonic and hedonistic approach to happiness, the self determination theory, etc.

The paper moves beyond mere description to careful thinking and to
analysis and evaluation.
